Who is braveheart?When people think of Scotland's history, they think of the movie Braveheart. Well, if you didn't already know, Braveheart is historically inaccurate.
William Wallace did lead the fight for Scottish independence from England, but... Scots actually did not paint their faces for battle, characters were either made up or absent for the film and there was supposed to be a bridge in the Battle of Stirling Bridge. Most importantly, the name Braveheart was meant for another scotsman, Robert the Bruce. |
